"Orochimaru!" Sasuke called out unceremoniously, without the slightest trace of respect in his voice.
He wasn't shouting. Only speaking slightly louder, so that he could be heard from the other room. But he did sound angry.
He didn't need patience here. He stepped off to the corridor's other side.
Sasuke placed his palm onto the solid dungeon door, which currently rested cracked open a slight. Using a fair amount of the strength in his arm, he pushed the heavy thing open, and watched it revolve until it almost slammed against the wall on the other side, while he withdrew his hand.
He strode determinedly into the room, keeping his head low and his gaze fixed. He knew Orochimaru was in there. He could see him in the dark, working on some more crap Sasuke had no interest in.
"You promised to teach me something new," he almost growled at the man's back, stopping a few steps behind him.
He didn't care he was being both disrespectful and demanding. He had only come to retrieve what he had been told he would receive.
Orochimaru didn't know how to keep Sasuke in check, anyway. He could only be just as disdainful in return and tease the Uchiha. Which he did. Very often. So Sasuke had one less reason to care how he acted.

Orochimaru was unbothered by the clamor Sasuke was causing, being his usual impatient self when it came to his training. That boy was good... very good... But he lacked patience in some cases, and maturity as well. Time would remodel him into an excellent shinobi... Too bad he wouldn't truly have that much time to spend in his own body.
Finally, after making the black-haired boy wait in the middle of the room, still scribbling on his scroll, Orochimaru thought the time had come to turn. He did so slowly, at his own lesiure, a sly smirk having overtaken the left half of his mouth. His eyes were lightly narrowed, also, their gold bristling in the candlelight from his workbench.
"Sasuke-kun..." he pretended to just now notice the boy, though without the slightest, most insiginificant trace of shock or surprise.
He took his time to set his writing ustensil onto the desk, and to advance a couple of steps towards Sasuke, imposing his height as his shadow, slightly darker than the rest of the room's dim atmosphere, loomed over Sasuke's face. He looked down at the boy, unafraid of even the fact that he could activate the Sharingan and give him some trouble if he liked. Sasuke wouldn't he needed the knowledge that Orochimaru could impart. And besides, danger was good.
"Were you saying something?" he asked, in a somewhat sweet and benevolent seeming, but sharply teasing tone. "I couldn't hear you well over all the commotion you caused..."
He looked briefly at the door, reminding himself of the loud clang it had let out against the wall.

Sasuke didn't as much as flinch, and the stare he returned to Orochimaru's probing eyes was just one thing: bored. He was openly displaying his total disinterest in whatever games the man felt like playing.
"You're delaying things pointlessly again," he replied, without the slightest trace of emotion or even interest.
After all, that was what Orochimaru usually did. He was much more interested in playing mind games and trading words he infused with subterfuge instead of getting down to business.
It was ridiculous, come to think of it. Even if Orochimaru's body was able to escape aging due to the jutsu he had developed, his mind was nothing more than that of an fifty-something-year-old man's. Even though he was still admittedly interested in conflict and stirred by any trace of a challenge, Orochimaru tended to ponder way more than he should.
Or maybe it wasn't really the age. It was just how the man had always been.
"You promised to teach me something new," Sasuke reiterated, trying to budge Orochimaru back to the actual subject and reason why he had come all the way here to look for him.
Sasuke didn't much enjoy the rooms Orochimaru conducted his experiments in. He preferred the actual, natural caves, or the outdoors. The sooner they could get out, the better.
"Instead, you've only been sending me on all kinds of petty errands," he accused calmly.

It was always difficult to tell what this boy thought, Orochimaru observed once more as he continued to probe carelessly into the gaze he held. Not impossible, and he mostly had Sasuke figured out, or believed he did, but definitely not as easy as it was with the others. But one thing Orochimaru could tell for sure: the young Uchiha had no loyalty for him whatsoever.
He didn't really care. Sasuke's own price in Orochimaru's eyes was only his potential to become a proper container for him. To provide the Sharingan he so craved... Other than that, he was worthless in the grand scheme he had planned.
"I think I know just what to teach you," he said slowly, his smirk only broadening.
With a fluid move, Orochimaru drifted past Sasuke, barely distancing himself enough to the side not to brush the Uchiha's sleeve with his own. He wanted the boy to feel the failure of the impression he was trying to make, to find out, yet again, that he did not dominate this report. It was usually a fairly easy job, though Orochimaru could not take control, either. The equality sort of irritated him sometimes, but it also had its intriguing side.
He headed for the door with carefully measured steps, having already made his decision. Sasuke often underestimated him, it seemed. There was much that Orochimaru knew, about the world, about life; things that the young boy couldn't even begin to imagine. And now, he was going to receive a lesson, a part of that knowledge, indeed, but perhaps not what he expected or wanted...

Sasuke didn't appreciate how close Orochimaru had been to touching him, but giving even the smallest sign that he had noticed it would work against him. Therefore, he flawlessly pretended to be unaffected and he turned around, tracking the man's moves with inexpressive eyes.
He seemed to be heading for the door.
Sasuke got ready to follow, but he didn't just yet. He wanted to benefit from more time to observe what was happening. He wasn't sure he liked Orochimaru's tone.
He looked briefly around the room, but found nothing but the usual shelves and desks, stacked with those repulsive tools and jars whose contents Sasuke preferred not to know.
How useless. Orochimaru actually deluded himself that he could go on forever using others. That his brainwashing people into thinking whichever way he wanted them to worked on everyone. That no one here truly sought his end.
Life wasn't eternal, no matter how much he tried to make it. Time was going to prove how right that was.
"You'd better have something useful," he remarked coldly.

((Bleh. I have to go for today, see you tomorrow. Sorry and all.))

((It's okay. >.> But I'm still two hours ahead of you, so it's later for me. Mwahaha. We'll have our characters quarrel more tomorrow. xDD))
The door was still wide open, and so Orochimaru helped himself and slipped out of the room, into the corridor beyond. A small look behind told him Sasuke was studying his surroundings; looking for something that was out of place, maybe. That was a clear sign he had realized something wasn't what it seemed.
But he had the wrong idea of where to look. There was nothing in the room, everything was in Orochimaru's mind, in the plan he had made. Sasuke could be difficult to keep in check and quite astute, but his intuition did not go as far as to guess what was going on, that was certain. All those years that stood as a difference between their ages spoke in the matter.
Pleased with the turn things had taken, Orochimaru came to halt in the corridor, staring absently ahead of him as he waited for Sasuke to join him. This gave him the perfect opportunity to think of the best place to go for the small... demonstration he planned to make.
"It will be interesting," was all he promised over his shoulder when he heard the Uchiha's demand.

((Hey, they're not quarreling. They are just secretly confronting each other? Lol. I think it's actually interesting to see how each of them arrogantly thinks he's got the right picture.))
__________
Nothing interesting seemed to lie in there, so Sasuke pulled away from his quick process of observation. He had no desire to hang around examining Orochimaru's tasteless work.
Once again, the words he heard pretended to be appeasing and satisfactory, but the tone activated Sasuke's sense of caution. Orochimaru was planning something that he wasn't sure he would like. Wasn't he always?
Sasuke followed the man out into the corridor, but he didn't rush. He felt rather impatient, but actually showing it was a different matter.
When he emerged from the room, he glanced briefly in the opposite direction from the one Orochimaru seemed to want him to go. He couldn't see anything worthwhile, so he decided to just play along.
"We'll see about that," he coolly offered his belated reply.
After that, he simply moved onward in the direction he had guessed as the right one. Each step was calculated and identical to the one before it, devoid of any emotion someone's walk could betray. He was only heading somewhere with a purpose, that was all.
And he was being skeptical.

((Actually, yes. xD It's just too much fun. But the thread is too slow, isn't it? -.-))
Orochimaru followed Sasuke's movements with a bit of interest, and noticed that he was headed where he should be going, at least this far. He took a small step back into the room and reached for the door, grabbing the handle and swiftly dragging. He backed out with ease, and the room was once again closed to the eyes of any who would be only passing. Not that he should be too concerned with anyone.
It seemed Sasuke also needed a lesson in manners and behavior. But Orochimaru had known that from the beginning, and he didn't intend to do anything much about it. The boy was moody, easily annoyed and difficult to get along with, but he still listened to the voice of reason like no other. That sufficed to make him a very efficient follower.
Besides, Orochimaru did like the outbursts that took place whenever something disturbed Sasuke. The calm nature of the complete disrespect the boy was capable of was simply appealing to the side of Orochimaru that wanted to see things stir. Because it always worked, and matters escalated into conflict.
As Sasuke had now gained a fair distance from him, Orochimaru made his walk a little faster when he followed, but, beyond that, he did not go through any actual effort to catch up. The boy couldn't go anywhere without him, especially since he had come all the way down here just to find him.
"What did you learn from our training last time?" he asked casually when the distance had been reduced to only a few steps.

"shut your mouth you snake." said zakai smoothly as he seeming apeared out of nowhere. "I have buissnes with the uchiha." zakai walked over causaly to sasuke. "fight me, if you refuse then prepare to defend yourself anyway" zakai reeled back as though he was about to punch him, but instead he flped back, his cloak whiping across sasuke's face. while sasuke was distracted and anoyed by zakai's actions a large mole that came up to his waist came from behind sasuke and slashed him on the back with his full force.
(the moles name is satsaru)

((OMG. -.- Horrible auto-hitter. Plus, no one just randomly "appears out of nowhere" in Orochimaru's secret dungeon thing. Therefore, from my part your completely invalid post shall be ignored entirely. What Sasuke does... his business.))

((What Sasuke does is launch a rant. Just out of the goodness of his heart. *snorts*
Look, Zakai. If you want to role-play with me, you're not allowed to control my character. That means no saying Sasuke was annoyed, because he's MY character and that's MY job. Also, it means not using auto-hit attacks, like the one you just made. You attack, I decide if Sasuke got hit or not depending on how good your attack was.
Secondly, I agree with Orochimaru. Your character can't just enter here at will. So I'm giving your post a spot in iggy land too, and I'm just gonna continue what my character was doing with Orochimaru. But I at least bothered to offer you an explanation. Have a nice day.))
__________
Orochimaru was truly playing with Sasuke's patience. He was quick to realize that the games were not over yet.
These corridors were never straight for too long, and Sasuke soon found himself at a cross. He didn't have the slightest clue where exactly they were going, so, though displeased by the situation, he was forced to stop in the middle and wait for the Sannin.
Meanwhile, he focused on the question.
"You tried to teach me how to properly treat your lame summons," he said after a moment of thought.
And he did find that ridiculous. He had to plead with something his own jutsu had brought into existence for some help? And also, snakes weren't too obedient, they did not take orders kindly and they snappishly talked back.
Sasuke despised them the same way he despised Orochimaru. The man and the snakes were distinctly similar. Yet, they often proved very useful. If he could truly gain control...
"You're wasting your time, and mine, if you think I'm going to beg an animal for help," he briefly added.
They had had this conversation before already. Even Kabuto had tried to change his mind, and to no avail. He wasn't giving into that. He would prefer to use the Sharingan to control the snakes before he would even remotely think of asking them to do anything for him.
Sharingan. Hmm. That was actually a good idea...
